CAPCOM’s Ixion Saga Gets an Anime Directed by Takamatsu Shinji

CAPCOM has announced plans of an anime adaptation of fantasy action PC game Ixion Saga released last year. The anime adaptation, titled Ixion Saga Dimension Transfer (DT), will be produced by Brains Base and will be directed by Sunrise veteran director Takamatsu Shinji, who is most known for directing the Gintama anime, School Rumble, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, and Kidou Shin Seiki Gundam X.

According to an official niconico live broadcast shown recently on Monday, more details and information of the upcoming anime will be revealed on July 5 in Japan at 1:00 PM via niconico live stream. We are expecting an awesome voice cast (Sugita Tomokazu as shujinko, anyone?) and awesome directing by director Eli-ossan. We just hope that the anime is not just a mere promotion for the game itself but rather a whole new entity complete with complex plot, story, and character development. Let’s hope for the best!
