Sakura Gakuin’s Senior Class Graduates

Sakura Gakuin 2012 Graduation

Seniors Airi, Ayami, and Ayaka (Left to Right) receive their certificates.

In Japan, March is the time for graduation. Elementary school seniors prepare for Junior High, while Junior High seniors leave for High School.

The same goes for the up and coming idol group Sakura Gakuin(さくら学院). A few hours ago in Japan, senior members, Muto Ayami (武藤彩未), Miyoshi Ayaka (三吉彩花), and Matsui Airi (松井愛莉), gave their tearful goodbyes during their last live performance in Tokyo’s Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall. Where 700+ fans, some flying in from around the world, made their way to the venue to enthusiastic cheer for the 3 seniors one last time.

The group is a school themed group with it’s name translating to “cherry blossom academy”. Recently the group had begun increasing activities and getting attention for its various shuffle group releases. But now the group has now shrunk from being a 12 person group to 9 as the 3 eldest members graduated on March 25, 2012.
